What is Knitted Fabric and Its Properties?

The process of creating a textile surface by forming loops of yarns, either individually or collectively (in the form of warps) by means of knitting needles and auxiliary elements, and creating side-by-side and longitudinal connections between them is called knitting.

What Does Knitting Mean in Textiles?

Knitting is the process of forming loops of yarns individually or collectively in warps by means of knitting needles and auxiliary elements, and creating side-by-side longitudinal connections between them to obtain a textile surface.

In general, knitted fabric is prepared by feeding yarns individually or collectively and giving loop form to yarns with the help of needles or knitting elements. It can be handled side-by-side or longitudinally with the design. The fabric prepared as a result of these processes is called knitted fabric.
